This Wall Street Journal confirmations void early rumors for iPad 3 to be seeded in shelves officially late this year. The newspaper reported that the Cupertino company is prepping for the next generation iPad for early 2012 release. Interestingly, the reports also seemed to echoes the long rumored 2048×1536 Retina display fitted on the iPad 3 display.
According to Wall Street Journal:
The next generation iPad is expected to feature a high resolution display – 2048 by 1536 compared with 1024 by 768 in the iPad 2 – and Apple’s suppliers have already shipped small quantities of components for the sampling of the iPad 3. Suppliers said Apple has placed orders for a 9.7-inch screen device.
Apple is aiming for early next year launch of iPad 3 according to people familiar with the matter. The sources also added that the trial run will begin in October and that Big A has already laid its orders of key iPad 3 components from its manufacturers.
Now though this is seemed vague as of the moment, WSJ added a credible rumor to believe in for iPad 3.
